Hundreds of Jews are being arrested daily, in accordance with an order of the Polish government expelling all Russian Jewish refugees from Poland.
More than 8,000 of these refugees are estimated to have been deported to date. In view of the immigration restrictions in the U.S., the majority are planning to go to Argentine. The Argentine consular office here is, accordingly, being besieged by crowds of these refugees seeking visas.
Premier Sikorski has modified the expulsion order insofar as it affects rabbis and ministerial students, permitting them to remain.
