David Ben-Gurion was called the “architect of the Jewish State” by the veteran American Zionist, Dr. Israel Goldstein, at an observance of the coming 85th birthday of Israel’s first Prime Minister held this afternoon at the opening session of the 1971-72 season of the Herzl institute at the Jewish Agency building. Dr. Goldstein, rabbi emeritus of Congregation B’nai Jeshurun and the recently retired chairman of the Keren Hayesod declared that Herzl, Weizmann and Ben-Gurion were “the three foremost ‘dramatis personnae’ in the drama of the fullfilment of Zionism in our time.”
