A total of 8,819 Jewish immigrants settled in Palestine during the year 1932, according to official figures which have been published here by the Jewish Agency.
The figure includes 3,339 Jews who came to Palestine as tourists, and have been given permits by the Palestine Government to remain in the country permanently.
Of the number, 892 Jewish immigrants belong to the so-called capitalist category, 391 having come from the United States.
