A group of 882 Jewish displaced persons being moved from Shanghai to Israel were prohibited today from disembarking in Italy.
The immigrants, part of a contingent of Shanghai refugees being evacuated from the Chinese city to Israel, were transshipped at the port of Naples from their vessel, the S.S. Casablanca, to the S.S. Caserta, on which they will complete the las leg of their Journey to the Jewish state.
