A group of 892 Jewish refugees sailed for Israel this week-end aboard the “Wooster Victory.” The transport, the first to leave the Chinese port city since the refugees appealed for urgent action, in fear of becoming embroiled in the Chinese civil war, will travel via the Cape of Good Hope. A second vessel, the “Castel Bianca,” is expected to sail here with another group of refugees early next week.
