A 17th-century book seized by the Nazis was returned to Rome’s Jewish community. The pocket-sized book was published in Amsterdam in 1680 and contains the first five books of the Bible, as well as the books of the Prophets. It was returned on Monday to the chief rabbi of Rome by a representative of the Italian Commission for the Recovery of Jewish Bibliographic Heritage.
