A $300 million initiative to give to give every Jew between the ages of 15 to 26 a first-time trip to Israel will launch this fall with trips for college students. Birthright Israel will provide funds to cover round-trip air fare from designated cities and the first 10 days on an approved Israel program for Jewish youth. Information is available at the Birthright Israel Web site (www.israelexperience.org) or at the toll-free number 888/99-ISRAEL. Participation for high school students is scheduled to begin in 2001.
