A bill introduced in the House today by Rep. Abraham J. Multer of New York would retain the citizenship of Americans who join armed forces “for the purpose of preserving peace in Palestine” so long as the United Nations directs their units.
The measure provides that such an armed group must be dedicated to carrying out the U.N. General Assembly’s decision on Palestine of last Nov. 29, and that no American may take an oath of allegiance “to any foreign prince, state, colony, district or people.”
