A bomb exploded in the only synagoguo in the Latvian capital of Riga. No one was injured, but the blast seriously damaged the 93-year-old building. Latvian President Guntis Ulmanis condemned the bombing and called for a meeting of the country’s National Security Council to discuss the incident.
