A book focusing on women in the Bible is one of the winners of this year’s Koret Jewish Book Awards. “Reading the Women of the Bible: A New Interpretation of Their Stories” by Tikva Frymer- Kensky won the prize in biography, autobiography and literary studies. “Drohobycz, Drohobycz and Other Stories: True Tales from the Holocaust and Life After,” a book of tales written in Polish by Henryk Grynberg and translated by Alicia Nitecki, earned the fiction prize.
