A Brazilian synagogue was vandalized with anti-Semitic slurs. Swastikas and phrases like “Kill all Jews” were painted recently on the walls of Sociedade Israelita de Campinas, a synagogue in the city of Campinas. According to the synagogue’s president, Marcelo Firer, other recent threats had been made by letters and phone calls. In Rio de Janeiro, newly elected councilwoman Teresa Bergher received a letter last week with her own campaign fliers and leaflets painted with swastikas and words like “Kill the Jews.”
