A British soccer team threatened to boot a match in Malaysia unless visas are granted to its Israeli members.
Chelsea official Peter Kenyon said Thursday that an upcoming tour of Asia could be canceled unless the visa problem is corrected, Israel Radio reported.
A Chelsea player, Tal Ben Haim, and coach Avram Grant are from Israel, a country not recognized by Kuala Lumpur.
According to the report, the Malaysia Football Association will ask the government of the Muslim country to issue special visas to the Israelis.
