A Canadian judge ruled that a suspected Nazi war criminal did not obtain his citizenship illegally. As a result of the judge’s ruling, the country’s Justice Department cannot begin the process of revoking the citizenship of Peteris Vitols, who has admitted he was a member of the Latvian SS during World War II.
