A Canadian judge who was born in a displaced persons camp in Germany was nominated to sit on Canada’s Supreme Court. Rosalie Abella, the child of Holocaust survivors who presently sits on the Ontario Court of Appeal, is one of two women judges from Ontario who were named for the country’s top court Tuesday by the government of Prime Minister Paul Martin.
