A Canadian politician told a Montreal audience that the world should not turn a blind eye to mass killings in Africa. Speaking Sunday as part of the eighth annual Holocaust Education Series, mounted by the Montreal Holocaust Memorial Center, retired Lt. Gen. Romeo Dallaire addressed a packed house of Canadian Jews and French-speaking Canadians, survivors of the Holocaust and the Rwandan genocide, about the need to prevent slaughter of innocent civilians in Africa.
