A man who wished himself revealed only as “a Christian” today presented a check for £10,000 (approximately $50,000) to the banking house of Rothschild as a contribution to the Central British Fund being raised to aid Jewish refugees from Germany.
At his express request his identity was kept secret and the contribution was announced as only from “a Christian.”
