A conference of sixty Detroit Jewish organizations convened by the Zionist District is arranging for a mass protest meeting next Tuesday evening to voice indignation against Palestine outrages. Fifteen thousand Jews are expected to participate. The conference by unanimous vote called upon every Jew to give up one day’s earnings for the relief of sufferers.

Rabbis were called upon to make this Saturday a Sabbath of mourning. Congressman Clancy addressed the conference.

N. Y. SYNAGOGUE WILL HOLD MEMORIAL SERVICES

Memorial services for those who were killed in Palestine during the past week’s excesses will be held at the Institutional Synagogue, New York City, under the auspices of the Jewish War Veterans of the Republic and other organizations, on Tuesday evening, September 3.

Rabbis Herbert S. Goldstein and Edward Lissman will officiate. Assemblyman Julius S. Berg and former Representative Isaac Siegel will be among the speakers.
