A controversy is flaring in Spain over a conference invitation to controversial Islam scholar Tariq Ramadan. Ramadan, who has been banned from entering the United States, is expected to attend a conference Friday in Madrid aimed at promoting cross-cultural and interfaith tolerance. The Israeli Embassy and the opposition Popular Party of former Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar reportedly are boycotting the meeting.
