A Croatian-born Israeli woman and her Italian husband were arrested for hacking into computers and using stolen American credit card numbers to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on online shopping and lottery betting. Police said the Sicily-based couple, Sandra Elazar and her husband, Giuseppe Russo, used “thousands” of stolen credit card numbers, most of them issued by two U.S. banks — Chase Manhattan and Citibank.
