President Kennedy will be awarded America’s Democratic Legacy Award for 1963 by the B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation League, it was announced here today by Henry Edward Schultz, national chairman of the ADL. Mr. Schultz said the President voted the award for his "dedication to democracy as reflected in his efforts to broaden the benefits of civil rights and to assure the application of constitutional principles of freedom to all Americans. " The award, a silver medallion, will be given the President in Washington, at a dinner to be held January 31.
