A deep-rooted devotion to the Jewish National Home in Palestine on the part of Ossip Gabrilowitsch, eminent pianist, found another echo yesterday when he made a voluntary contribution to the Fund.
Last week an invitation was addressed to him by Mrs. Philip Slomovitz, chairman of the program committee for the annual donor luncheon of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Jewish National Fund. The reply came from his secretary that he would be unable to attend.
However, he again revealed his deep interest in the Palestinian cause by sending his check to Mrs. Slomovitz for the price of two tickets for the Jewish National Fund luncheon.
