A delegation of prominent American bankers arrived Sunday in Israel as guests of the Israel Bond Organization for a week-long fact-finding tour. The group consists of the presidents and chief officers of banks in the mid west and east coast. They are accompanied by key leaders from Jewish communities in those areas. During their stay here, they will meet with Premier Yitzhak Rabin. Finance Minister Yehoshua Rabinowitz, and the Governor of the Bank of Israel, Arnon Gafni, as well as leading bankers and businessmen. They will also tour major industrial projects to see how the $3.5 billion in proceeds from Israel Bonds have been utilized to promote the country’s economic development.
