A former U.S. diplomat who now advises the Palestinian Authority says the Bush administration is changing the standards of reform it demands of the Palestinians. “They are raising the bar to fit their campaign to get rid of Yasser Arafat,” Edward Abington, the former consul general in Jerusalem, told The Associated Press.
