A French Jewish leader accused the government of dragging its feet on a report about property looted from Jews during World War II. But French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin defended the government-appointed commission producing the report, which is scheduled to be released in 2000. The comments came during an annual dinner of CRIF, the umbrella organization of secular French Jews.
