A French Jewish organization protested a Protestant TV documentary on Israel’s West Bank security barrier. In a letter Thursday to Herve Claude, host of the weekly program “Protestant Presence,” Paris Consistoire President Moise Cohen wrote that “under no circumstances should a religious program spill over into polemic or aggression against other” faiths. The Oct. 10 broadcast was screened on France’s national Channel 2, which allocates programming time to religious groups each Sunday morning. “Protestant Presence” immediately follows “Source of Life,” a program devoted to issues of Jewish religious interest. Cohen ended his letter with a plea for “greater balance in future editions.”
