A full-page advertisement in The New York Times calls for a “realignment” of the U.S.-Israel relationship. The ad, placed by the Council for the National Interest, plays on the term for Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s plan to unilaterally set Israel’s West Bank border with the Palestinians. The ad, which ran Sunday, calls on the Bush administration to encourage Israel to return to its pre-1967 boundaries, and calls for a reconsideration of U.S. assistance to Israel.
