A geographic blunder may have been responsible for the army’s accidental killing on March 13 of two Israeli security guards who were mistaken for terrorists. An army inquiry into the incident indicated that soldiers were alerted to the presence of terrorists in the area, but misidentified the hilltop near Hebron where they were supposed to be.
