A government-appointed committee cleared Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of responsibility for a failed Mossad assassination attempt last September on a Hamas leader in Jordan. The commission said that the prime minister had acted appropriately, but it criticized Mossad head Danny Yatom’s performance, adding that it was up to the government to decide whether to dismiss him.
