A Greek Jewish leader wants the government to pay rabbis’ salaries, as it does for Christian and Muslim clergy. “We believe that rabbis should be paid by the Greek government,” given that the “believers of the Jewish religion are also Greek taxpayers,” said Moisis Constantinis, president of the Central Jewish Board of Greece.
