A group of Christians from 23 countries apologized in Jerusalem for the destruction wreaked by the Crusades. The July 15 move, which came nine centuries after the members of the First Crusade entered Jerusalem, is part of an “apology tour” tracing the path of the Crusaders from Germany to the Middle East.
