A group of European rabbis weighed in on a controversy over Russia’s chief rabbi by saying it would continue to recognize Adolph Shayevich in that role. The statement by the Conference of European Rabbis came after 26 Lubavitch rabbis elected Rabbi Berel Lazar to take over the position.
