A group of Israeli students are participating in a NASA robotics competition this week. The team of 17 students from ORT Aviation High School in Tel Nof will compete against 340 robotics teams with 1,130 students from around the world at Atlanta’s Georgia Dome. The ORT students defeated 26 other high schools at the Israeli national competition in Tel Aviv at the end of March. The challenge was to develop a robot that can collect small balls, throw them into a basket or shoot them into a goal, collect them again and start over, scoring as many points as possible.
