A Haifa district court gave life sentences Tuesday to five Israeli Arabs convicted of the kidnap-murder of teenager Danny Katz in December, 1983. Each of the killers was also sentenced to a 27-year prison term for conspiracy. Katz disappeared near his home in Danya, a suburb of Haifa on Mt. Carmel. Searchers found his body hidden in underbrush in Western Galilee. He was sexually abused and tortured by his assailants before they killed him.
