A Holocaust film starring Robin Williams opens Friday in theaters across North America. In “Jakob the Liar,” Williams plays a resident of a Polish ghetto during World War II who tells lies about advancing Russian troops based on a radio he claims to have. The film, which comes on the heels of last year’s Academy Award-winning Holocaust film “Life Is Beautiful,” is based on a 1969 novel.
