A Jewish group is prepared to sponsor and finance immigration of refugees to Canada provided the Government admits them, it was learned here today. A Government spokesman told the J.T.A. the Government the Government was not prepared to make a statement on the question until Prime Minister MacKenzie King, who is in Washington to sign the Canadian-American trade treaty, has discussed the refugee problem with President Roosevelt.
