A Jewish member of Iran’s Parliament called on Iranian authorities to speed up the trial of 13 Iranian Jews being held there on charges of spying. Manouchehr Eliasi was quoted in an Iranian newspaper as saying a timely trial could reduce Western pressure against Iran in the case. The 13, who were arrested in March, could face the death penalty.
