A Jewish pro-gun group is among those pushing for the Supreme Court to hear a case on assault weapons. Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership joined the Pink Pistols, a gay and lesbian gun group, and the Second Amendment Sisters, a pro-gun women’s group, in challenging California’s assault-weapons ban. The groups, along with the National Rifle Association, want the Supreme Court to hear an appeal filed this summer by a group of rugby players challenging the California law, which was upheld by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, The Associated Press reported.
