A jubilant player from Ghana waved the Israeli flag after his team scored in the World Cup. Saturday’s flag-waver was defenseman John Pantsil, one of three members of the African nation’s World Cup squad who plays professionally in Israel. According to the Jerusalem Post, Pantsil said before the cup began that he would wave Israel’s flag if Ghana scored a goal, which they did twice in their upset win over the Czechs.
