A landmark High Court ruling called on Israel to fully recognize some non-Orthodox converts to Judaism. The High Court of Justice on Thursday found in favor of a petition demanding that “leaping converts,” who study in Reform or Conservative academies in Israel and complete their conversions abroad, be considered Jews.
