A lawsuit was filed in a U.S. federal court against French banks for seizing and hoarding Holocaust-era bank accounts. The suit, which is similar to a suit filed against Swiss banks, seeks an accounting from French banks that facilitated the expropriation of Jewish-owned bank accounts and other assets during World War II.
