A leading former activist for Soviet Jewry will head Columbia University’s Hillel. Simon Klarfeld, 36, who headed the Bay Area Council of Jewish Rescue and Renewal in San Francisco, will replace Rabbi Charles Sheer, the New York Sun reported.
