A leading U.S. bagel chain announced that most of its bagel shops would no longer be kosher. A spokesman for Noah’s New York Bagels, which has 119 stores — most of them in the western part of the United States — said the move to add non-kosher products was necessary for financial reasons. Recent reports have noted an over-saturation in the bagel market.
