A London-based Orthodox Jewish group filed a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights over the construction of an office building over one of Europe’s oldest Jewish cemeteries. The group that filed the suit, the Committee for the Preservation of Jewish Cemeteries in Europe, has been trying for several months to halt construction work at the site in Prague. The group filed the petition against the Czech government with the European Court on the grounds that it had breached “the right to perform religious actions freely.”
