President Truman told his news conference today that some of the recommendations contained in the report of his Committee on Civil Eights will form the basis for one section of his message to Congress at the opening of the forthcoming special session.
The President said that the Committee had made a good report and that was looking forward to a chance to read it very carefully. He did not specify ? of the Committee’s recommendations he would discuss in the message to Congress.
