A meeting between the Israeli and Qatari foreign ministers is being described as a “glimmer of hope” for peace in the Middle East. Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom, who met with his Qatari counterpart in Paris on Wednesday, called the meeting “one important step to bring peace between Israel and the Arab world.”
