A movement to curb the handling of German products by local Jewishowned stores was urged here by Isadore Horwitz, publisher of the Milwaukee Wochenblat, in the current issue of this weekly.
Horwitz pointed out that “a large Milwaukee Jewish firm” not only buys goods openly from Germany, but prominently advertises its German-imported products in the local press. Though he did not name the firm, Horwitz intimated he referred to a department store which has lately advertised heavily its stock of German wines, he said. He proposed written protests to the owner of the establishment.
