A New Hampshire congressman won a Republican senatorial primary race that focused in part on terrorism and the Middle East conflict. Sen. Bob Smith lost his re-election bid to Rep. John Sununu, who is of Palestinian and Lebanese background, after accusing Sununu of being soft on terrorism.
