A new Italian documentary tells how the Jewish community in Sarajevo came to the city’s aid during the Bosnian war in the 1990s. “Sarajevo — The Children of Abraham” had its premiere in Milan on Sunday. The film recounts how the Bosnian Jewish welfare organization La Benevolencja served as a key conduit for humanitarian aid for Muslims, Serbs, Croats and Jews during the siege of Sarajevo.
