A New York newspaper is demanding that an aide to President Bush resign because he opposes Jewish intermarriage. Philip Weiss, a columnist for the weekly New York Observer, said Elliott Abrams, a special assistant to the president on Middle East affairs and a National Security Council member, should “either give up his job or step back from his extreme views” on American Jewry.
