A New York state legislator wants to stop companies from refusing life-insurance policies to those who travel to Israel. The speaker of the New York Assembly, Sheldon Silver, introduced a bill Thursday that would prevent insurance companies in the state from using previous travel to Israel or other nations on a State Department travel advisory list as a basis for denying life insurance.
